Anhelli is a poem by Juliusz Słowacki, a pessimistic forecast of the future of Polish emigration and its struggle for Poland's independence. The work is considered a poetic replica of Adam Mickiewicz's Księgi narodu polskiego i pilgrrzymstwa polskiego Adam Mickiewicza (The Books of the Polish Nation and Polish Pilgrimage), to which it refers with its stylization for biblical prose
